Client Manager Rachel Grendell

After studying languages at college I left the UK in the mid 80s and moved to Augsburg in Bavaria, Germany.  I was an au-pair for a year to two young girls with whom I am still in touch.

From then on I worked in bars and restaurants to learn the language to a fluent level. I eventually secured a job with the US government in procurement and supply working in a German speaking office.  I married my husband in Denmark and had our first child, Avalon, on the day the Berlin wall fell.  We left Augsburg in 1991 for Tacoma, Washington State.

I worked for a local software company (not Microsoft unfortunately) until my son Cahael was born and a change in my husband’s job lead us to Reading, Pennsylvania where I opened a small coffee shop. Client Manager Lightwater Cleaning

After four years in Pennsylvania my family and I decided to up sticks and move back to the UK.  Having now been back for over 12 years I have developed a diverse experience in commercial property where I worked for 7 years, and PA support roles.  I am also CCNA qualified although PCs are not as exciting to work with as people!  I started off working part time for Lightwater Cleaning on the accounts side which I did for three years.  I gradually became more involved in the business and enjoyed it immensely.  I was offered a permanent position as client manager at the start of the recession over two years ago, which in hindsight was probably a brave step but I knew it was the right decision for me.  I haven’t looked back and am delighted we have managed to maintain the business in spite of the tough economy.  I am passionate about our business and it’s important to me that every client has a great experience with us.  I still enjoy travelling especially back to Germany and try to keep up my languages.  I am a self confessed spinning addict and have recently taken up hot yoga.  When I’m not in the office or in the gym I enjoy cooking and fine wines.

Our office is open Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 5.30 pm. We have a team of dedicated staff to assist our valued clients and cleaners during these hours.

Our systems log all calls to ensure we provide the highest possible level of customer service, and this enables us to support and maintain both our client and cleaner base effectively.

Lightwater Cleaning Services have had the privilege of serving their clients for over six years and we never lose sight of the fact that without our clients we will not have a business! If at any time you feel we are not remembering that, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Our Cleaners

Our cleaners are all English speaking experienced cleaners and you can rest knowing that we’ve checked your chosen cleaner’s references.

We work closely with our cleaners to ensure client requirements are met each week, and we work together to address and support any issues that may arise at any time, to provide a consistent and reliable service to our clients.

Our cleaners will follow and work with job sheets agreed with each client, and are insured at all times whilst working at the client’s property.

We are always recruiting experience reliable cleaning and ironing staff, who take pride in their work. We are an ethical company; we offer excellent rates, NOT minimum wage.
